the blog is nearing real time. i've given it alot of thought sass and i think when i finally get caught up to present day and time i'm going to stop updating. right now everything you're reading on there happened a few years ago. but, in a few weeks i should be able to finish up and call it a day. after two years working on this project i'm ready for a long break from serious writing if you know what i mean.

since march i've been taking trips. haven't mentioned much about them anywhere. it's been good. seen parts of the country i never been to before. some of it was real interesting. i liked portland alot.

the deviantart page has some photos from some of the trips in it, (main gallery/ and scraps)if you haven't lately you can hit that. i dunno if you knew about hotrod #1 yet? that's the '66 mustang. 300HP small block in it now. my current bad thoughts are it maybe needs a friend. so i been lookin at stuff from the early 1950s. also specifically i been looking at:

1961-63 thunderbirds
1967 thunderbird
1967-68 cougar
1963-64 galaxie

i know. i am a bad person. heh.

Dude, Colorado is seriously da bomb. On top of the mountains, 300 days of sunshine, and everything else it has to offer, one hasn't lived until he/she has seen a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Of course, as a Coloradoan I may be a bit biased...

Burgundy I can do :) it's just the typical cherry red I can't but for the right stang I would do any color, serious I love the old ones!! Anything mustang made after 1979 you can keep!

hunee i personally think any stang after 68 isn't worth having... but that's just me :)

I agree but I would say more like after 69 (the 69 still had the same body style and specs...) The 70's were eh I could deal with it if someone gave it to me :) I was never a big fan of the fastback style however...

Blogger sassinak said...

but wasn't it 68 where they changed the engine and made it wimpy?

6:30 PM
Blogger HuneeB said...

You know I am not sure about that...

sass- i'm with you there anything after '68 is p00. that's my cutoff year. most stuff after that turned to pure junk with simulated wood grain interiors. yuk.

first generation stangs were 1964-66. at first the 1964 model years only had a straight six 200cid engine or a weird little 260 V8. in 65 they rolled out the 289. that's what i've got in mine.

second generation mustangs were 67-68. mechanically they were similar but the body got a little larger and the interiors changed. more engine packages on the V8 were available. anyway, 67-68 years aren't my thing for mustangs. then in 69 they got even more wacky and well... the evil 70s were just around the corner.

here's a 67 or 68 fastback going up against a dodge charger in SF (been down most o those streets myself heh). god damn that thing threw a ton of fuckin hubcaps...enjoy teh film clip.
